Ravenswood Apartment, Chicago
Eclectic Interior

Before:

Jetset Designs was contacted by a client with eclectic tastes who is renting an apartment in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood. The unit had a dated color scheme in the main living area and was in need of living and dining room furniture.

After:

In the living room, the color scheme of purple and cranberry are traded for a vibrant orange designed to pull out the warmth of the hardwood floors and coordinate with the beige in the dining room. The seating area, arranged to take advantage of the focal point fireplace, consists of a mid-century sofa, two custom upholstered cream chairs with chocolate floral motif, a reused ottoman doubling as a coffee table, a contemporary chain link end table with lamp, and a shag rug in beige to tie the seating arrangement together.

In the dining room, an expandable table and buffet add a mid-century feel that work very well in this vintage space. The mismatched dining chairs in beige and floral, the clients’ vibrant existing artwork, and a colorful runner add a much needed pop of color to the existing beige walls.
